The Island that Time forgot
Watching from its shore
I see people afraid of pain and dying
Yet I sit here unafraid, forgotten by all time
I watch the children grow
An intruder on their lives
What’s worse to see them age and wither
To see them turn to dust
Underneath the Velvet sky
I hum a little tune
It is an ancient lullaby
That I can sing to everyone
But no one even knows I’m here
Invisible to their eyes
Watching the sun alone rise from
Dawn and down to dusk
Now if you listen closely
To the whispers of the wind
You may hear me singing
On this island that time forgot
